DIGIfoto

</b>

I was recently featured in the June issue of DIGIfoto   magazine and I'm really proud of it. Such a nice surprise and the best gift for Children's Day :XD:

If interested, you can read full interview here:

How did you get to photography?

When I was younger I was proposed to have a photo session for a teen magazine. I didn't like the photos, which were taken then by the photographer. It all took a lot of time and the final effect was unsatisfactory. It came to me, that I could make better ones. I was very discontented, disillusioned and young. Probably that was my first step of photography adventure. It began uninteresting, but the passion evolved soon.

What inspired your photo work the most? Are you inspired by some famous photographer?

Although I like such photographers like Steven Meisel or Steven Klein very much, I can't tell the photographs I've done so far were inspired by their work.

It seems that other artists have the greatest impact on what I do, these who publish their work on websites concerning photography. You can find there lots of incredible photos taken by young and talented people. It often strucks me to see fantastic artwork by younger than me. And thus this high standard rises my expectations from myself and pushes me to work harder.

How is your photography processing?

I use photograph processing software to change colors, add textures, apply filters, etc.

It is hard to be photographer and model in one person? Or it is, in your opinion, benefit?

Yes, it's very hard and demanding a lot of effort. But still, it's a pity you'll always find people who won't appreciate auto portraits, they tend to claim that author has no skills. Therefore this kind of photography seems to be underestimated, what makes me very sad.

For me, auto portrait is a way to know myself better, express emotions.
The model doesn't always understand or interpret the photographers vision, and by doing an auto portrait I know every detail will be the way I planned. I gain full control over the picture.

Which part of shooting is the most interesting for you?

Probably I like post processing the most. I love to play with colors, it's fascinating what effects you can get by changing the photo's colors. It's a tool of endless possibilities and a way to show off by an author. That's why I devote greater part of the time to this stage of creation.
I think that it's the colors that define the main role in my work.

Do you prefer digital or classic analog cameras?

Digital cameras, due to low cost and shorter time of work with a single  photograph.

Do you want to take a photography for a living one day? What is your plans to future in this direction?

It's a hard question and I'm still looking myself for an answer. Although yet I'm not able to imagine myself in other profession than photography, I'm aware of the struggle to be acknowledged in this trade. Currently developing my skills and gaining experience are most important for me, that's why soon I want to take up photography studies. I know that passion and talent are not sufficient to take good pictures, but you need solid technical knowledge.

what would you like to photography? What is your photography dream?

Apart from doing portraits i would really like to take up landscape photography, street and architecture.

There are many people who i would like to work with.  I know  beautiful women who are too shy to act in front of the camera.  what i want  to achieve is to make them feel a little bit more confident by working together.

I believe that beauty is everywhere and good photographer should be able to notice that. My dream is to become a kind of artist who can  show this beauty, and has the ability to influence others with my work

(about 'soheir' soheir.deviantart.com/art/sohe…)
This piece was created at the time I felt there's something I want to change in my work. I decided to reach further, try something new. It was the moment it begun to fascinate me how to seize movement in the picture.
At first I was unsure about results I achieved. It took long to consider whether I would put it up on the website. It was my first act, indeed very personal. Something that reveals not only my soul, but also my carnality. I wanted to depict gentle nature of a woman, fragility and mystery. To fill the photograph with subtlety and I think I have succeeded.
